Christian Initiation of Adults
Through Christian Initiation of Adults, new members are welcomed into the Catholic Church, which St. Paul calls the Mystical Body of Christ. This journey of faith is open to:
those never baptized
those baptized in another Christian denomination who want to learn more about the Catholic faith
or those Catholics who were baptized but have not received the other Sacraments of Initiation (Holy Eucharist & Confirmation)
Typically, the process begins in September and ends at Easter, with weekly sessions. Depending on individual circumstances, adjustments can be made for meeting at other times of the year. Learning about the Catholic Church involves instruction in beliefs and practices. It is also a process of spiritual formation for the heart and soul.
If you have any questions at all, or if you would like to begin this journey of faith, please contact the pastor, Msgr. Vernon Gardin (314-991-5700, ext. 315; vgardin@immacolata.org).
Welcome!
